Meet Claire aka Frankie. She will be your 5:00/km Continuous Pacer for the 15k race, on September 21st.
Here, she shares a few insights into her journey as a runner.
What got you into running?
I have always been into running. I was on the cross country team in high school but was more focused at team sports at the time. Once I finished university I found it again and felt like it was a really great way to push myself to new limits and set goals for myself.
What is your favourite race and why?
My favourite race has been Riot Relays. The entire experience was so much fun and has been one of the highlights of my year so far.
Pacing is your main role for the Ajax Waterfront Race, how does this serve a purpose in your journey as a runner?
I think pacing is a great way to be a part of a local race, vibe in the community, and support those who are chasing big goals! I also think it’s great for my personal growth as a runner to strengthen pacing control.

Registrations or shirt selections after this date will mean your shirt will be part of a second order and available for pickup from Kintec Whitby after the event (date TBD).
Why the deadline? Our shirts are supplied by New Balance and requires lead time for delivery. Also, as a not-for-profit event, we aim to avoid suplus inventory and extra costs - so we can maximize our financial support for Herizon House.
